Obviously it would have been better if the race could have been postponed and run at a later date. However as it appears that is not possible I feel that the half points decision was the only fair alternative. Of course Mercedes fans will of course regret that the race wasn't totally cancelled giving Red Bull one race less in which to recover points lost due to their teams actions in the last two races.30-08-2021 14:14

Of course Mercedes wanted the race cancelled meaning that Red Bull would have had one race less to recover points lost due to Mercedes damage, they should instead be grateful that only half points were awarded. I wonder if their reaction would have been the same if grid positions had been reversed, I very much doubt it.30-08-2021 11:02

Hamilton is better than Verstappen, at what, removing the opposition? If Hamilton is that good why was he so far behind before Silverstone, even forgetting his teammates assistance in Hungary he would have still been well behind now.20-08-2021 18:16

Hamilton may welcome competition but welcome team orders more. If I was Russell l would consider it a no brainer and definitely make the move to red bull.09-08-2021 13:24

I don't think I really care much any more. What I want to see are races and championships won on merit and not through other drivers faultless DNF,s and other misfortunes, in my eyes these wins mean nothing and I can't understand how anybody winning in this way can really believe that they were the best.06-08-2021 13:34

Be interesting to see the effect it would have if the repairs needed to another teams car not only had to be paid for by the offending team but also to be taken from their budget. Drivers may think a little more before making reckless moves if it resulted in more than mediocre penalties.02-08-2021 14:09
